This classic dish makes the perfect go to dinner for you and yours! Ground beef and mushrooms served in a deliciously thick cream sauce, seasoned to perfection I might add, is sure to become a family favorite! Pour over the top of egg noodles, or whatever pasta you desire and enjoy!

- Use a large pan deep enough for all of the contents to fit into at the end. Heat the pan over medium high heat. Place your raw ground beef in pan, proceed to brown and break up into ground beef texture. Add your slice then roughly chopped mushrooms to the pan. Cook for roughly 7-8 minutes. The mushrooms will have become browned and their liquid released and most of it evaporated. Remove the ground beef and mushrooms and set aside in a bowl large enough to contain.
- Add 2 Tbsp of butter to the pan you have been using. Once the butter melts, add your onion. Sauté until they become soft and translucent, this takes roughly 5-7 minutes. Once you have reached this point with the onions, add the garlic for about 35-40 seconds. The garlic will become fragrant.
- Now add the Pinot Grigio to the pan with the onion and garlic, cook while scraping the pan for about 1 minute. Now add the flour to the pan and cook for an additional minute.
- Pour the beef broth, heavy cream, and cream cheese to the pan. Give this a good stir and let simmer until you notice it start to thicken, and the cream cheese melts into the sauce. This will take roughly 1-2 minutes.
- Grab a small bowl, place the sour cream into it, mix a couple of tablespoons of the sauce into the bowl to incorporate with the sour cream. This keeps it from curdling. Add to the pan and constantly stir.
- Add Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and simmer until it has incorporated and becomes creamy. Add the beef and mushrooms back into the pan with all of the juices as well. Continue to cook until the beef and mushrooms have heated up in the sauce.
- Best served on top of egg noodles, garnished with parsley if desired. Enjoy!
